ADDENDUM NO. 1
TO
PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS
FOR
REPAIR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
AT
AIR FORCE RESEARCH LABORATORY
ROME RESEARCH SITE

This Addendum is issued indicating changes to the Project Specifications and Drawings dated April 14, 2011. All changes shall be incorporated into the Contractor’s Proposal as described herein, as this Addendum will become part of the Contract Documents if and when an award is made.
FOR CLARIFICATION:
1. The Proposed Riser Diagrams are shown for reference only and are not intended to be used as installation drawings; exact arrangement and wiring requirements shall be per equipment manufactures directions and shop drawings. It is the contractor’s responsibility to provide all components, wiring, etc. to meet the project specifications.
REFER TO DRAWINGS
1. Sheet 1:
a. Refer to Proposed Network Communications Schematic:
1) Delete the autonomous control unit communicator in the Rome Research Site
Guard Shack.
b. Refer to General Notes:
1) Add the following: 22. Existing raceway systems slated for removal in open and industrial areas above 20 feet may be abandoned in place; the associated wiring system shall be removed in their entirety.
2. Sheet 7:
a. Refer to Proposed Riser Diagram:
1) Provide Surge Suppressor on the 120 volt branch circuit serving each NAC.
3. Sheet 29:
a. Refer to Proposed Riser Diagram:
1) Provide Surge Suppressor on the 120 volt branch circuit serving each NAC.
REFER TO SPECIFCATIONS:
1. Section 16721 Combination Mass Notification/Emergency Communication And
Addressable Fire Alarm And Detection System:
a. Refer to Part 3-Execution, 3.08 Training; add the following:
1) B. The government/owner will pay all per diem expenses associated with the training associated with the two owner’s representatives.
