About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document issued on July 9, 2026, providing clarifications on a federal contract solicitation for a weapon system.

The document addresses four key inquiries regarding proposal submission deadlines and technical requirements. The Pricing Section deadline has been extended to 11:59 PM CDT on August 16, 2026, while the Technical Section remains due on August 3, 2026, per the original solicitation. Vendors are prohibited from proposing design cycles longer than those specified in the Statement of Objectives (SOO), with non-compliant proposals considered ineligible for award. The proposed weapon system must conform to all physical dimension limits in the requirements package, specifically restricting the missile extension to no more than 12 inches beyond the missile pod. Additionally, the document clarifies that dollar values appearing on the draft contract are placeholder figures and do not represent the actual contract value.
