About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) for a pre-solicitation notice for an Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) opportunity. The Q&A, dated 14 July 2025 and associated with solicitation number FA8652-25-R-0001, provides clarity on several key points about the contemplated contract vehicle. Notably, this is a new contract with no incumbent, and the primary purpose is to create an agile contracting vehicle for AFRL's Science and Technology needs, covering unclassified research and development activities such as data science, technology development, digital architecture, modeling, simulation, and technology transition.
The document emphasizes that the opportunity is pre-decisional and currently in a market research phase. Vendors interested in participating must add themselves to the Interested Vendors List by 16 July 2025 at 4:00 pm EDT. The AMAC will support decentralized fair opportunity task and delivery orders across the AFRL enterprise, with directorates issuing proposal requests. The solicitation explicitly states that being part of an existing AFRL technical directorate IDIQ/MAC does not automatically qualify vendors for this contract, and the vehicle will not be used for Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) requirements.
