About this file
This document provides an overview of the Algorithm-Derived Decision Support Industry Day hosted by the Air Force Research Laboratory. The Industry Day presentation outlined key details of Solicitation FA8650-19-S-6006 seeking algorithm-derived intelligence analysis capabilities. Offerors were informed that the Air Force expects to award five cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts valued at $36.125 million over five years. The base period is 12 months with two 12-month and one 36-month option periods. Offeror proposals are due by October 16, 2019 with an expected award date for contracts. The Industry Day covered the program's goals of developing machine-generated intelligence products to accelerate decision-making, challenges involving ambiguity reconciliation, and security classification of Top Secret with TEMPEST requirements. Performers will work off-site except for testing and meetings, and are expected to field multidisciplinary teams.

Program Overview - Goals The Algorithm-Derived Decision Support (ADDS) Program seeks to
• Develop and judiciously apply sensemaking approaches to established, classified IC crisis scenarios to demonstrate the potential for machine-generated written intelligence products capable of providing timely and relevant decision advantage.
• Use algorithm-generated written intelligence products to accelerate and improve decision making by reducing the time (weeks/days to minutes/seconds) to deliver intelligence at machine-speed and –scale
• Advance research that will ultimately lead to the first algorithm-generated all-source intelligence products.

Program Overview – Government provided resources The government intends to provide to ADDS performers upon award:
• Diverse corpora of representative HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and other intelligence reporting. These intelligence reporting documents will be distributed over the course of the ADDS program to drive crisis scenarios and their related, written product taskings.
• Structured templates for each type of written intelligence product to be generated in the ADDS program.
