About this file

This is a Question and Answer document (Set 1) for solicitation FA8604-25-R-B003 regarding modular cabinets at Maxwell AFB, AL, dated February 10, 2025. The Q&A clarifies specifications for Type A and Type B modular cabinets, primarily focusing on ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) requirements and cabinet dimensions.

The document addresses six questions covering cabinet specifications, notably clarifying that only one Type A cabinet requires an ESD rubber mat with minimum 1/16 inch thickness, while no ESD mats or fittings are required for other cabinets. It confirms that cabinets with 27" overall depth are acceptable if they meet the interior depth requirement of 25" +/-1". The Q&A also clarifies that ESD paint is not required for shelving, and no static dissipation connections are needed for any of the cabinets. This appears to be a technical clarification document that revises previous ESD requirements downward from what was originally specified in sections 3.1 and 3.2.2.9 of the original solicitation.
