FA8604-24-R-B011

Luke AFB, AZ & Kirtland AFB, NM Question Set 4 05 August 2024

Question/Answer Response:

1. In reference to solicitation FA860424RB0110001, CLIN item 0002, In-Checking Modular Office, Appendix A, 3.2.15 Fire detection System & 3.2.16 Fire Suppression System:

a. Are we able to send a building representative to the site to check out the existing building the new structure will be going into? Specifically, to see where we could tie into the fire alarm system, as well as water pipe sizes, pipe elevation, and where those services are in relation to the new modular building.

Site visits are allowed per the base POC.

2. What decking would be accepted for the sheet metal racking?

Specific style of decking is not specified but must meet all other requirements of the specification.

3. For the modular office on the Luke project of this bid can you ask the following please?

a. 5/8” gypsum board has been specified. Would ½” vinyl covered gypsum board be acceptable like the below?

Yes, that is acceptable.

4. Because the roof needs to be load bearing for the HVAC unit, a 10” beam will be required. What is the maximum height the modular office can be? We ask because a 9’H office with a 10” beam will result in less than 8’ of clear height.

The interior height must be at minimum 8’ so the overall height can be greater than 9’ but not exceed 12’H. Drawing has been revised in Amendment 0004 to reflect this change.
