Question Set #2

3 July 2024

1. General:

What are the Wage Rate Requirements for this Project?

This is a supply contract, not a service contract. Wage rate requirements are not applicable.

2. CLIN 0003:

*Ref: "3.2.1.11. FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM, The Contractor shall design and install a dry-pipe preaction single interlock fire suppression system under the new mezzanine." This means that the contractor is only responsible for implementing fire suppression coverage for beneath the 20'6 x 76' New Mezzanine? Asking because we didn't see fire suppression piping shown the image provided beneath the existing mezzanine where the mobile aisle system will be installed.

“The existing mezzanine does have fire suppression installed for coverage beneath, but it’s hard to see in the provided pictures. The contractor will only be responsible for the fire suppression system being installed under the new mezzanine and bridged portion.”

3. CLIN 0006:

*What wide span shelving will the Order Picker be accessing? Are there bays of shelving that are outside of this projects scope that the Order Picker will be accessing? What is the aisleway width that the Order Picker must function within?

“The order picker will be interfacing with all racking installed for this project, as well as lifting pallet loads & the S/R Module to the upper level of the mezzanine. The order picker will not interface with any existing rack. There are no defined aisleways.”

4. CLIN 0009:

*please specify in more detail what 'composite' means for the 4x8 wood countertop.

*QTY 2 of the 4 total Mobile Workbenches have a note *Utilize Mobile Tool Carts (EXISTING),do you have specs, details, images of these Existing Tool Carts? Is the contractor to supply wood countertop and fasteners only for these 2 units?

“Composite wood countertop would just indicate that the layers have alternating grain patterns for improved strength. The countertop must meet the loading requirement.”

“The comment on the drawing *Utilize Mobile Tool Carts (EXISTING)* is just stating that the user will not require new tool carts in that space, and is more of a note to the designer. This comment is not related to the mobile workbenches.”
