1. Q: Are there turntables in the new system or only in the demoli�on?

A: There are 2 turntables to be demolished. The new system does not have any turntables.

2. Q: Since there is a concrete dock, what type of ram protec�on is expected?

A: No ram protec�on is required. There are rubber bumpers on the concrete at the k-loader/forkli� interface loca�ons that will remain in place.

3. Q: Will the Transfer Vehicle rails be replaced, just shorter for the new system?

A: Yes, the exis�ng crane rails shall be removed and replaced new crane rails.

Reference Appendix A, paragraph 3.2.9.1.

4. Q: Are the new Transfer Vehicles intended to be closed like the exis�ng ones?

A: No, the new Transfer Vehicles will have operator pla�orms rather than cabs.

5. Q: Do the Transfer Vehicles require a step to access the operator pla�orm?

A: Yes, the specifica�ons have been modified to clarify. Reference Appendix A, paragraph 3.2.11.1.

6. Q: Do stairs/step-ups need to be provided for personnel to travel over the pass-through conveyors?

A: Yes, the specifica�ons have been revised to include this for both the pass-through conveyors and short staging dock conveyors. Reference Appendix B, paragraphs 3.2.4.2.

7. Q: Is the exis�ng conveyor where the pass-through conveyor is to be re-used?

A: The exis�ng conveyor shall be removed and disposed of. Reference Appendix B, paragraph 3.2.4.

8. Q: Are the pass-through conveyors driven by a single drive or separate drives?

A: Pass-through conveyors shall move as a single conveyor that can only be operated by one Transfer Vehicle at a �me. The specifica�ons have been revised to clarify. Reference Appendix B, paragraph 3.2.4.1.

9. Q: Without a cabin on the Transfer Vehicles, it will be difficult to have the power feed rail at the ceiling level. Will it be acceptable to have the power feed rail at ground level?

A: At ceiling level or at ground level is acceptable. The specifica�ons have been revised to clarify. Reference Appendix A, paragraph 3.3.2.

10. Q: When transferring a large pallet on the Transfer Vehicle in the new system, you create a pinch point and blind spot between the vehicle and the sta�onary conveyor it interfaces with. What is expected to be provided to mi�gate this risk and ensure the system is safe?

A: A requirement for aisle obstruc�on detec�on on that side of each transfer vehicle has been added. Reference Appendix A, paragraphs 3.3.9., 3.3.9.1., and 3.3.9.2.

11. Q: Are the power panels from the exis�ng turntables and conveyor to be removed?

A: Yes, the specifica�ons have been revised to clarify. Reference Cover PD, paragraph 3.1.3.

12. Q: Are the control consoles inside of 961 to be reused? What about the control consoles at the end of the conveyor lanes outside of 961?

A: The control consoles inside of 961 are to remain. The control consoles outside of 961 at the end of the conveyor lanes are to be removed and replaced. Reference AF Drawings BTR303-03 and BTR303-04.

13. Q: The motors on the conveyor to be replaced outside of Building 961 show they operate on 480V. Is this correct?

A: To our knowledge, this informa�on is accurate.

14. Q: Are any parts from the conveyor to be demolished outside of Building 961 to be kept for use as spares for the conveyor remaining inside?

A: The specifica�ons have been revised to clarify. Any parts that will be kept for spares will be removed by the user prior to the contractor accessing the site to begin the removal. Reference Cover PD, paragraph 3.1.3.

Note that the staircase shown on AF Drawings BTR303-04 has been revised as it is part of the concrete dock, and a separate metal staircase does not need to be provided.
