Answer: Certified PE Stamped drawings of the system are required. Paragraph 3.3.1.8 will be modified in the Cover PD as REV 1.

Answer: Both Name Plates (3.3.7) and IUID labels (DFARS) are required for this contract.
3. Para 1.2 Definitions – Please clarify if the definition of wide span unit is a typo. The sentence ends in “the solid steel decking between the beams” but 3.2.6 calls for wire decking to be installed.

4. Para 3.2.3 – Shelf Beams – paragraph calls for 2x4 capacity labels but also requires every shelf beam be labeled with manufacturer, part # and capacity. Is 1 2x4 label with all required information acceptable or are both labels required separately?
Answer: One 2”x4” label is required for each & every shelf beam and upright. Each label shall include Manufacturer, Part #, and Capacity.
5. No para – There does not appear to be any row spacers required for the wide span shelving, please confirm.
Answer: Row Spacers are required. Paragraph 3.2.8 is being added to Appendix A as REV 1.

Row spacers shall be capable of joining the backs of two upright frame sections together to form a double row arrangement. The row spacers shall provide a minimum 6 inch flue space when storage locations are back-to-back. Each end shall firmly and securely attach to the column and prevent unintentional disengagement. The row spacer shall be of sufficient size and strength to withstand all forces applied to the connected upright frames during normal loading and unloading operations without deformation or failure. The Contractor shall supply and install a minimum of 3 row spacers for each set of back-to-back frames. The top row spacer shall be installed within 24 inches of the top of the frame. The bottom row spacer shall be installed within 24 inches of the bottom of the frame.
6. Para 3.2.5 – Face Panels - Are low or high pressure panels acceptable in place of metal panels?
Answer: Low or High pressure panels are not acceptable. Metal panels are required.
