About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers response issued by the Department of the Air Force's Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base regarding federal contract opportunity FA8601-12-Q-0046.
The document addresses a single inquiry from a potential contractor regarding the specifications for a table item designated as T1. The contractor inquired whether a 5-foot depth by 22-foot width dimension would be acceptable as an alternative to the specified 24-foot width requirement. Contracting Officer Claire Hess rejected this proposed modification, stating that reducing the width to 22 feet would diminish the seating capacity at the table and therefore does not meet the contract requirements. The response was issued on 20 May 2026 from AFLCMC/PZIBA located at 1940 Allbrook Drive, Room 142, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433.

SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries Regarding FA8601-12-Q-0046
QUESTIONS
Question 1: I just got word from our manufacturer that a 24'w for T1 isn’t available. Is 5'd x 22'w acceptable?
Response 1: Response 5'd x 22'w is not acceptable. Reducing the width to 22’ would reduce the seating capacity at the table.
