About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document issued by the Department of the Air Force, Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, dated 7 May 2026, responding to inquiries regarding solicitation FA8601-12-Q-0043.

The document clarifies specifications and requirements for a furniture project at Building 20016. Key clarifications include: the WS-1 Workstation dimensions are 30" x 87" (not 84"), requiring two 42" wide open shelves instead of 54" wide shelves; stacking chairs must include arms, be stackable with four legs acceptable, have a fabric upholstered back (mesh back preferred but fabric acceptable), and stack a minimum of 18 chairs high; the Buffet Credenza specification is one unit measuring 72"W x 24"D x 36"H with four doors and two drawers in High Pressure Laminate with a minimum of eight woodgrain options and square edge profile; 3mm edgeband is required on workstation worksurfaces (2mm is not acceptable); and the CH-2 chairs must have a mesh back (solid polymer backs are not acceptable). Additional details address facility logistics: the floor is carpeted, an existing junction box is available for electrical connections, a loading dock accommodates standard box trucks on the same floor with an additional dock one floor above with no clearance restrictions and freight elevator access, and DATA network cabling installation will be provided by the Base rather than the contractor. The document notes that updated Statement of Work and Furniture Plans have been uploaded to SAM.gov, and multiple furniture projects exist at the location with specific solicitation numbers distinguishing separate projects due to CUI guidelines.
