About this file
This is a Question & Answer document from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB regarding a robotic coffee kiosk procurement, dated December 13, 2024. The Q&A addresses four key topics: space requirements for the kiosk (120 inches deep by 200-246 inches wide needed for customer access and service), utility specifications (50amp-208/3phase power, 0.75 inch water connection, 1.5 inch drain with 10ft max run, 5,000lb floor load capacity), monthly subscription fee structure (to be included under CLIN 0003 with specified unit of measure), and partial upfront payment terms (acceptable as a separate CLIN due to NAF funding).
The document is associated with solicitation FA860125Q0026 for the National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) Robotic Coffee Kiosk. The government confirms that adequate space and utility connections will be provided at the installation location, and that the floor's tile and concrete construction can support the required load. The Air Force indicates flexibility in pricing structure as long as total costs can be evaluated against other proposals, with a preference for firm-fixed pricing.

Bldg. 1, Room 109 Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-5344
Question 1:
Our kiosk physically fits in the dimensions that are outlined; however, we would need 120 inches deep and 200 inches wide (246 inches is ideal) for customers to utilize the condiment stations properly and for access to service doors. Can the location accommodate the additional functional space?
Answer: There is additional space where the coffee kiosk will be installed to accommodate customers. This should not be an issue
Question 2:
The location would have to arrange and pay for the proper utilities for hookup. This includes:
50amp-208/3phase, 0.75 inch water connection, 1.5 inch drain with a max run of 10ft, and floor that can handle a 5,000lb load. Can you confirm this is the expectation?
Answer: We are already working on the utilities and floor is a combination of tiles and concrete that will be able to accommodate the load.
Question 3:
Our programs require clients to sign our contract and requires an ongoing monthly fee that is based on revenue. How should we present that as part of the quote?
Answer: CLIN 0003 is added to account for the subscription fees as needed. CLIN 0003 lists unit as "each", so indicate the unit of measure for "each" - for example, month/year. The government does favor firm-fixed price, but open to other alternatives. As long as we can evaluate the total cost to other proposals, we are not particular on how you choose to layout the ongoing fees."
Question 4:
Our programs require a partial upfront payment to place the order and the remaining part is due prior to shipping. How should we present this term as part of the quote?
Answer: As a NAF entity we do not have an issue with a partial payment. It just has to be a separate CLIN
