Sheet1

Request For Information (FA860124Q0102 - Automatic Particle Counter)
“I see that you reference IP 577 which is the PAMAS method for testing aviation fuel under UK MOD 91-091. The instrument for this testing is the PAMAS AVTUR unit. However, the subject notice references testing hydraulic and coolant fluid products which is done by our SBSS unit of which you currently have three at WPAFB. Will the units for the subject notice be used for hydraulic and coolant fluid testing as at WPAFB or Aviation fuel?”From the wording in the SOW, “units to run testing similar to FED-STD-791E-3012, ISO 11500, or ASTM D7647 to determine particulate matter concentration in hydraulic and coolant fluid products and testing per ASTM D7619 or IP 577 to determine fuels cleanliness in aviation turbine or diesel fuels in accordance with this Statement of Work (SOW).”

So, we are looking for units that run FED-STD-791E-3012/ISO 11500/ASTM D7647 for hydraulic and coolant fluid products -and- ASTM D7619/IP 577 for aviation turbine or diesel fuels. The ‘or’ part refers the methods of acquisition, but we are looking for instruments to run all types of products listed.

There are 2 different closing dates for this RFQ, May 29 and May 31, 2024. Which is accurate?May 31st is the correct date.
There are 2 different lists of specs for the counters. Please defer to the statement of work.
