QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
11 MAY 2022
QUESTION 1: Teleworking - opportunity exists for duties to occur through telework, particularly for the Staff Weather Support personnel. Is there a possibility to include the use of telework when deemed appropriate as approved by the COR?
ANSWER: Yes, approval will be sought via the COR for all telework.
QUESTION 2: Scope (PWS 1.1) - The PWS refers to the contractor providing all
"personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and associated items and services" to
WPAFB meteorological services. It is our understanding that the government owns and provides the equipment, tools, materials, and associated items and instrument and IT services. Please provide clarification to the limits of PWS 1.1 beyond what is stated in PWS
2.7.12.
ANSWER: Para 2.7.12 states the administrative supplies provided the Base Weather
Station (BWS) for use in completion of duties. Para 1.1 is what the contractor will provide, such as, personnel, supervision and associated items that the contractor feels they need to complete the weather duties.
QUESTION 3: Weather Systems Manager (PWS 2.3.18) - Please provide the 88th
Communication Squadron (CS) guidelines as referenced.
ANSWER: Para 2.3.18 concerns the 88 Operational Support Squadron (OSS) Weather intranet page 88th CS guidelines. The system is currently converting to a cloud-based sharepoint site. User roles/policies are being finalized and we are in the process of obtaining preliminary documentation/information to provide to offerors.
