Request for Information FA8601-21-R-0003 – WPAFB Laundry Service
1. Is the 750,000 pounds of bulk laundry item how much will be ordered each year?
a. The 750,000 pounds bulk laundry for CLINs X001 and X002 are the CEILING that this contract will allow. It is estimated the amount of pounds is 30,000 pounds per month for each CLIN (60,000 pounds overall bulk per month). NOTE *This is not a guarantee or commitment by the government to order in quantities more than a minimum specified in the contract*
2. Do the Fringe Benefits mean that we have to pay Holiday Wages, or a paid day off, to employees under this contract? Even if we’re open on that day?
a. Under the Service Contract Act and Wage Determination in this contract, the Contractor is responsible for paying and providing the fringe benefits to employees. Employees are entitled to those benefits under the applicable wage determinations in the contract. It is the decision of the awardee how those benefits are distributed to employees. So in the example question, yes, that employee would be entitled to the extra pay for the Holiday in accordance with Contractor Procedures and the Wage Determination. See 29 CFR § 4 for more information.
