Combined Synopsis/Solicitation FA860118R0009-Baltimore C-STARS Hotel Accommodations Response to Questions: 12/11/2017
1. The 2 conference rooms needed for the simulation set-up should they be next to each other?
Yes
2. Will the conference rooms be dismantled each day? NO. Simulation equipment and training areas are set up day before classes begin and torn down at the end of the course.
3. Will the storage room store items 24 hours per day or only during training hours? 24 hours per day/7 days a week
4. What are the hours of use each day for the conference rooms? 24 hours during course dates due to the simulation equipment set-up
5. There are no dates listed in February for lodging accommodations although there are dates for the conference rooms, was February lodging omitted in error? Yes, Would need lodging arriving 10/11 Feb - departing 24 Feb 2018
6. Hotels generally have conference rooms reserved months in advance, can we submit a proposal if all dates are not available for the conference rooms? NO, our first class begins 8 Jan running two weeks.
7. Would you consider a proposal that offered only lodging accommodations and no conference rooms? Of vice versa? NO - Students need to be co-located due to travel/transport issues.
8. Since the dates of lodging and conference rooms do not coincide, is it possible to submit a proposal that offers a Hotel for lodging and a different Hotel for conference rooms? NO.
Students need to be co-located due to travel/transport issues. Student lodging and AST course has to be within the 2-3 block radius of UMM.
9. Would you consider a different venue to create the simulated surgical stations such as an empty office or building in the same local area? Class rooms and simulation rooms must coincide in the same location.
10. Will there be a need for A/V equipment or other training supplies in the conference rooms? No.
The government has already has the A/V equipment.
