SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding Solicitation FA8601-18-Q-0038, Access Control

System

QUESTIONS

1. Are Scaled Drawings available?

2. Are Ceilings Suspended? Or Hard Lid?

3. Are there existing Cable Trays for wiring above ceilings?

4. Can Existing Wiring be utilized?

5. Is a "UPS" required? If so, What Time/Power Duration is required?

6. Are "Or Equal" Equipment substitutions allowed?

7. Is "Plenum Wire" acceptable?

8. Is "After Hours Access" for said work, available to contractor at no add'l cost to the

Gov't?

9. Could we do a walkthrough of the site?

10. Please provide a BILL OF MATERIALS.

11. Is a bid bond required? If so, what percentage?

ANSWERS

1. If required, this may be possible; however, this job is a relatively simple install for 3 readers in 3 doors and wiring through existing conduit. The wiring will connect the 3 new readers to an existing system through the PDS.

2. Suspended.

3. Based on the simple scope of this ACS project (path) trays should not be needed. The distance from start point, through the existing PDS, to new readers is approximately 15-

20 feet.

4. No, you will need to run wire for the new points added.

5. The 3 new points will tie back to the panel in the starting point (comm room). This panel will provide the UPS protection/time and no additional protection is required.

6. As long as it is compatible with the existing DSX system.

7. Yes

8. No, work will occur during normal business hours, 0800-1700 M-F with observation of normal GOV holidays.
