Site Visit (9-Feb-17) Questions
1. Are corrosion coupon racks installed at all desired locations?
o Yes
2. If corrosion coupon racks are not currently in place, how many are needed?
o 0
3. If corrosion coupon racks are not currently in place, at needed site(s), will the base be responsible for all hard piping connections?

4. What is age of each set of membranes in your RO skids?
o 770- 3 years, 13- 2 years, 271- 3 years
5. What is the current RO permeate water quality: Silica, hardness, etc.?
o Hardness near 0, silica near 0, conductivity between 15-50 Micromhos
6. What is requirement for legionella testing?
o No current requirements for Legionella testing.
7. If you require legionella testing, what are your control ranges?
o Refer to Question #6
8. If you require legionella testing, what involvement does the water treatment supplier have in your base action plan for this bid response?
o Refer to Question #6
9. If you have a legionella testing requirement, how many systems do you want tested per month?
o Refer to Question #6
10. If legionella testing is required, does contractor provide and maintain a randomized testing schedule based on your testing requirements?
o Refer to Question #6
11. Are all closed loops within inhibitor range specified on bid spec currently?
o Yes
12. What is the microbio control limit for closed loop?
o Not part of PWS standards for closed loop
13. During transition period, if legionella or microbio counts are found above acceptable level, how will that extra manpower and chemical dosing required to gain control be handled?
o Not Applicable
14. Are there any dechlorination requirements for any of the included base systems?
o Only the RO systems.
15. Does the base have a collection site for empty chemical drums?
o If the drums can be recycled, yes the base has a recycling center. (as long as the drums are clean, no chemical residual)
16. Are there any waste water treatment requirements that should be considered for this bid response?
o Follow Environmental Protection 1.3.12 in the PWS
17. We understand all the existing dosing and control equipment incl. Sulfuric acid day tanks, Spill containment, Chemical mixing tanks, metering pumps etc., belong to WPAFB. Selected new vendor would get to use all of them for proper water treatment. Please confirm.
o Yes
18. Should dosing or control equipment fail during the contractual period, does the supplier's contractual price include equipment repair or replacement or would equipment needs be separately purchased outside the service contract?
o Equipment is outside of this contract and therefore does not apply.
19. The solicitation provides installed capacity of the equipment that need water treatment. The actual operating load and hence the chemical usage is commonly much lower than this capacity. Hence we request water usage readings for individual facilities and/or actual chemicals used for the past two years.
As this information is available only to the current vendor, for fairness of all potential bidders, please consider sharing this information.
o The water usage is not tracked by CE as every facility does not have a water meter. Chemical usage is governed by the contractor based on actual test results. However, a list of chemicals in use for the past two years are as follows:

o The current Industrial Water Treatment Contract is FA8601-12-C-0062, awarded to Lombardi
Water Management, the original contract award amount was $1,945,000.00.
