SUBJECT: Questions/Answers for FA8601-13-T-0280
Q1: In section 1.2 the second paragraph has that the vendor will monitor the system via audible alarm to detect malfunctioning status. I am questing if this means we somehow need to have a remote monitoring system?
A1: The Hemodialysis unit staff are responsible for monitoring the RO water purification system via an alarm located in the nurse/tech room hooked up to the water system. The Performance Work Statement has been updated. Please see attached.
Q2: Will the vendor supply additional repair parts that are not listed in the contract? If a pump or controller goes bad, will this be an addition or do you need this type of repair covered in the agreement?
A2: In the event of an equipment malfunction that is not covered under this contract, we will be ordering the parts through the contracting office. The part will go out for solicitation and be a contract of its own.
Q3: We do not supply salt. I can setup a vendor to deliver a skid (49) of salt, but it will need to be stored at your facility. Do you have an area for this?
A3: Yes. It can be stored in the hospital warehouse.
