Question: To clarify, should we estimate we will pull, pack, and ship/fulfill about 325-350 packages for each/every one of the approximate 350 (324 last year) science fairs?

Answer: No, you should estimate to pull, pack, and ship about 325-350 packages total. Please see “Shipments by Region” attachment and you will see 147 packages were sent to 147 regional science fairs in the Eastern Time Zone.

Question: For the Base Year Only, about how many total boxes will be shipped? Is the Total count of( Approximate size) H20’5” x W3.5 x L18” boxes around 350 boxes? Or is it closer to 350 x 350= 122,500 boxes?

Answer: It will be a maximum of 350 boxes. There will be three to four award packages in each box. Each award package is approximately 20.5x3.5x18 inches.

Question: Will the build/ components be the same for every science fair, in a given contract year for this program?

Answer: No, every year, there will be different components to the award packages year to year, but the weight will not vary much. We try to use similar, but different components.

Question: Will the build/ components vary from one Regional fair to another- or will every box be the same to every fair?

Answer: In a given year, every box will be the same.

NOTE: There seems to be some confusion on terminology and quantities. A regional science fair consists of multiple schools. One box will be sent to each regional fair and each box will contain three or four award packages. Award packages consists of the items that will be sent to you. The box (with three or four award packages) will be what you send to the regional science fair, maximum of 350 across the country.
