Questions and Answers:

1. What is the cubic feet of items to be received & stored by successful contractor at any one time?

Answer: The total cubic feet, as an estimate, is 1,424.50 cubic feet and that is estimating 350 boxes. We figure each box which will contain 4 presentation folders, 4 gym bags, 4 portfolios, and 4 small sound speakers will need to go into one box with the approximate dimensions of 20" high, 22" long, and 16" wide. There will also be 6 certificates in each box. Each box which will contain between 3 to 4 award packages will weigh approximately 15 to 20lbs.

2. Will incoming material be on pallets/cartons? If so, how many are to be received & stored over the contract period? What is the approximate weight & sq. footage required to store the items?

Answer: From previous history, the award packages have been shipped on pallets. The award packages will be delivered to the awarded shipping/storage facility around the Oct timeframe and most of the award packages will be sent out between Dec and the end of April. Whatever award packages are left, will be given back to the government and not be stored. The presentation folders come in boxes that weigh approximately 45lbs and there will be approximately 14 boxes. As the award packages are assembled and sent out, the presentation folders will be depleted. Whatever presentation folders are left at the end of April will be stored at the shipping/storage facility to be used for the following year, as long as the option is exercised.

3. The Government has provided the number of fairs for each time zone. What is the number of packages required for each fair, or does it vary?

Answer: This varies and it depends on the schools who want to participate in the fairs, but the number will be anywhere from 325 to 350 sets (packages).
