About this file

This is an Industry Day announcement from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, regarding Regional Military Protection (RMP) capabilities integration into M-Code compliant weapon systems. The event is scheduled for March 17, 2026, at 0900 PT at the Aerospace Facility in El Segundo, California (2310 E El Segundo Blvd, El Segundo, CA 90245). The full-day agenda includes four technical sessions with opening and closing remarks, separated by a lunch break, with session topics subject to change based on registrations.

The government seeks industry input on nine specific technical and programmatic questions regarding RMP integration into GPS product lines, including implementation timeline and cost estimates, system-level updates required (JMPS, flight software, OFP software, card, chip, box components), field reprogramming feasibility, operational constraints with limited satellite availability, enterprise hot start compatibility, RF signal spillover utilization, and multi-AOIE (Area of Interest Emphasis) signal handling. The Air Force is also investigating support for M-Code GPS space vehicles in geo-synchronous orbit using existing keys and cryptographic materials. Vendor registration must be submitted by 5:00 PM EST on March 8, 2026, to 2d Lt Brookelyn Anderson (Brookelyn.anderson.3@us.af.mil, 478-222-5073), with Visitor's Access Request completion required by 5:00 PM EST on March 10, 2026. Each vendor is limited to five representatives maximum (prime contractors and subcontractors combined); walk-in attendance is not permitted. The announcement explicitly disclaims this as a contract opportunity, RFP, or commitment, noting that future RFP terms will take precedence and that participant costs are non-reimbursable bid and proposal expenses.

Industry Day

PURPOSE

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is hosting an Industry Day to actively investigate innovative methods for delivering Regional Military Protection (RMP) capabilities to the warfighter. This industry day will facilitate a discussion with interested industry partners to assess the feasibility of embedding this technology directly into M-Code compliant weapon systems—an approach that could offer a powerful, jam-resistant advantage. The objective is to foster a collaborative discussion, explore potential partnerships, and define a clear path forward by outlining the technical, logistical, and programmatic requirements for integrating this future capability.

GOVERNMENT QUESTIONS FOR INDUSTRY

1. How will you put RMP capabilities into your GPS product line?

a. What is the timeline?

b. What is the estimated cost?

2. What systems in the path will also require updates (JMPS, flight software, OFP software, card, chip, box, etc.)

3. Are there any other updates / requirements that will be needed to complete this objective?

4. Could the RMP capability be added by reprogramming in the field?

5. How would RMP work with four or less RMP satellites?

6. How would RMP work with enterprise hot start?

7. Assuming that your card has been loaded with the RMP keys for the appropriate AOIE, can your product track and use the RMP signal outside the AOIE even if the signal strength is not at the level specified in the TRD? Essentially, can you use the RMP RF spillover?

8. Assuming that your card has been loaded with the RMP keys for the appropriate AOIEs.

What happens if you hear the signal for another AOIE when you are in another AOIE?

9. How would you support M-Code (MEC and RMP) GPS SVs in geo-synchronous orbit, assuming that power levels stay within ICD-GPS-700 specification and utilizes existing keys/crypto?

a. What is the timeline?

b. What is the estimated cost?

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

1. All vendors intending to participate must submit their registration, including complete attendee details (name, email, phone number, company), no later than 5:00 PM EST on March 8, 2026 to the listed Government point of contact.

2. Attendees will get an email with the required information to complete a Visitor’s Access Request (VAR), to be completed no later than 5:00 PM EST on March 10, 2026.

3. To accommodate all interested parties and facilitate focused engagement, each vendor's attendance is capped at five (5) representatives, encompassing prime contractors and any associated subcontractors. Walk-in will not be accepted.
