Questions w/ Answers Shredding Services BPA – Robins AFB Solicitation FA8571-22-Q-0015

1) Is the shredding to be performed on-site?

· Answer: Shredding is to be performed on-site in view of a government employee.

2) Section 1.4 of the Performance Work Statement asks for pricing on different services. Some of these look repetitive. Can you please clarify the difference between a) One-time shredding and bulk shredding, b) Secure shredding and confidential document destruction (all of our shredding, whether one time or recurring meets both of these), c) What constitutes electronic shredding?

· Answer: a) this could be considered the same or different depending on how each company defines its work, b) again, this could be considered the same depending on how the company defines its work, c) CDs, cassettes, etc.

3) Section 4.3 of the same document refers to several different buildings and organizations. Can you let us know how many different organizations and buildings?

· Answer: This requirement will be available to all six Squadrons and every facility within the ALC

4) Section 4.5 mentions energy conservation days. Can you provide a list of these?

· Answer: CY21 – day after Thanksgiving. We have not been given the energy days for CY22, but there is usually only 1 or 2 and they coincide with a holiday

5) Are all locations on the ground floor?

· Answer: The majority of facilities being serviced have multiple floors. The Contractor can work with each facility to determine where the shred bins will be located.

6) Will all of the locations be on a scheduled frequency rather than on-call?

· Answer: I am going to assume that “scheduled” means recurring on a weekly/monthly/etc. basis. Since each organization oversees their own shredding requirements, I cannot provide a solid answer to this question. However, any non-recurring shredding will not require an immediate response. The Contractor will most likely be able to schedule non-recurring services on a date/time of another service within the ALC to try and abate the need for multiple trips.

7) When it comes to the materials to be destroyed. Will there only be a need for paper documents shredding? And, Or do you require services for disks and hard drives to be destroyed also?

· Answer: The PWS includes the destruction of multi-media (disk, etc.). There are specific guidelines for the destruction of hard drives, so they are not included.

8) Is this a brand new contract or follow-on?

· Answer: Brand new

9) What is the requested service frequency/schedule of the 30 total bins? I.e.: weekly, every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks, etc?

· Answer: There is no way for me to calculate that number. Shredding is done throughout the entire ALC. It is usually managed by office, which could mean multiple different shredding schedules within the same facility. The Contractor will have to work separately with each Organization to determine the schedule.
