The extent of repair work required shall be determined by the initial inspection/ functional checkout and the disassembly/assembly required to return the CCU to a serviceable end item that shall efficiently serve its intended purpose. The CCU shall be repaired and returned to the Government in serviceable condition. Each asset shall comply with the quality levels of repair necessary and shall return repaired assets to the Government in serviceable condition on time. The contractor shall deliver quality data and documents free of technical errors in addition to providing timely and accurate reporting in CAVAF. The war fighter will benefit by having more aircraft available with a fully functional CCU to perform the combat search and rescue mission.
1.3 Background: This contract task is to obtain repair services for the CCU asset used on the HH-60G weapon system. HH-60G CCU is used in the Intercommunication System (ICS) on board the HH-60G Pave Hawk Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) helicopter. The ICS provides communication among the stations of the helicopter as well as radio transmission and reception.
The CCU helps minimize the crew’s workload by providing a centralized control of the ICS to provide interior communication capability between crew members and with the troop commander’s position. It also allows the pilot and copilot to select and control associated radio equipment for voice transmission and reception. The basic CCU controls five radios and interphone communication onboard the HH-60G Pave Hawk CSAR helicopter. The Government has a need to repair this item in order to support the HH-60G program.
