1.0 Description of Services
1.1 Objective(s): This Statement of Work Statement (SOW) describes the supply required to modify the MC-130J/EC-130J seat rails to support the JTWS-Air 2 modification. This supply includes the design, 55 kit fabrications (47 for the MC-130J and 8 for the EC-130J), and engineering documentation efforts to upgrade the current MC-130J/EC-130J seat rail at the forward-right position.
1.2 Background: The currently fielded MC-130J/EC-130J JTWS-Air 2 system contains multiple Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) that are strapped to the cargo floor in the forward right position of the aircraft. This configuration limits AFSOC’s mission set by taking up valuable cargo space and blocking the critical egress path out of the forward right emergency exit. To combat these limitations, it is required that the JTWS-Air 2 system be mounted on the forward right seat rail, “Personnel Position One (1).” The proposed solution of the MC-130J/EC-130J will incorporate drawings from the current equipment rack used on the MC-130H aircraft with an upgrade, or “beef-up,” of the seat rail to maintain the weight of the system. This effort will require the design, kit fabrication (55, but not limited to), and engineering documentation for the upgraded seat rail only; the rack itself will be executed under another effort.
