Yes, This is being restricted to US manufacturers. The contracting officer and Jimmy Davis have researched into this and since this is a small business set aside and regulated by the buy American Act this is restricted to US small business manufacturers.
2. What is the advantage package called out for in the purchase specifictiation?
It increases accuracy to +/-0.0004" ram repeatability, dual ram encoder feedback passive ram leveling system, front linkage covers & dial indicator for ram tilt.
3. What are the characteristics of the ETS 200 CNC controller in the purchase specification?
Please type in ETS 200 CNC controller into an internet search engine and look it up.
4. The question was asked if we could extend the due date of the proposals to account for the questions and answers that were posted to Fedbizopps?
Yes, The new deadline is May 10th at 5PM.
5. You listed on your spec a 4-way bottom die. Do you know what size vee openings you need in it? Typical for this size machine would be ¾”, 1”, 1.5” and 2”. The die holder would then have to be a 4-way die holder x 3” tall. You also specified 24” standard (for machines up to 250 ton). These are 24” swing style front sheet support arms with disappearing stops.
The 4 way die with 3/4", 1", 1.5", and 2" will work. The height is good at 3". The 24" swing style arm is also what they need. The purchase specification has been modified from a standard die holder to a 4 way die holder x 3” tall.
