Questions and Answers

1. How thick is the concrete foundation for this piece of equipment?

I believe the current slab is 18inches.

2. Question on the spec 17.4 Do you expect the entire table to rotate, or some portion of it?

We are planning to place a tombstone (large fixture mounting block) on the machine and need to be able to access all 4 sides of the tombstone without having to remove and reconfigure things. So the ability to rotate the tombstone is required.

3. From the purchase spec 17.13, what is the Mobile chip lift?

An automated device for clearing chips out of the machine. (Does not need to be perfect, but helps keep work space clean.)

4. From the purchase spec 17.21, explain the 4th axis rotary system. Does it sit flat in or on the table?

The main issue with rotary is to access the 4 sides of the tombstone. So we can have fixturing set up on the tombstones and just rotate to the one we need.

5. In 24.3 of the purchase spec., it refers to an operational test with specs in 11.5 is that the MSDS?

In regards to machine accuracies, the vendor is correct it should not refer to 11.5 but to 24.4 (sorry for the error).

6. How important are the specs in 24.4? Positioning and repeatability?

The positioning and repeatability accuracies outlined in 24.4 are very important. We are working on precision jet aircraft here.
