About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Fire Extinguisher Cartridges for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to multiple countries, including Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. The solicitation (FA8213-25-Q-3000) is issued by the Department of the Air Force, Directorate of Contracting at Hill Air Force Base, seeking 110 fire extinguisher cartridges per country, with a total of 364 cartridges. The cartridges are NSN 1377-00-280-0272, classified as aircraft ejection system life support ballistic devices, consisting of steel with a 0.0008 lb explosive charge, measuring 1.53 inches in length and 0.40 inches in diameter, and electrically initiated.
The RFQ includes firm fixed pricing, with delivery specified as F.O.B. Origin, and requires compliance with ISO 9001-2015 standards. The solicitation is not a small business set-aside and includes specific requirements for Foreign Military Sales, Buy American Act/Balance of Payments Program, and unique item identification. The cartridges are part of a contract that requires higher-level contract quality requirements, origin inspection, and receiving report documentation. Potential sources include Applied Energy Technology Corp and Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, with a 120-day price firm period.
