About this file
This is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document addressing clarifications to a laundry services solicitation covering a base period of 25 August 2026 through 24 August 2027, with four option years available.
The Government clarified several key operational requirements: laundry pickup will occur twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays (not weekly or every-other-Wednesday as stated in other solicitation sections), with estimated quantities in workload tables based on this twice-weekly schedule; pickups and deliveries must occur before 1500 hours on the scheduled days, though if a scheduled pickup or dropoff is missed or unavailable, services may be performed on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday before 1500 hours as alternative dates; and linens required for the laundry services are Government-furnished property, not Contractor-furnished rental items, clarifying an ambiguity regarding property designation in the referenced appendices.

FAQ
1. Could the Government please clarify the period of performance for this requirement, including the base period and any option years?
25 August 2026 – 24 August 2027 (base), 4 Option Years
2. Could the Government clarify the required laundry pickup frequency and schedule?
We noted several references within the solicitation and PWS that appear to provide conflicting information:
1. • The solicitation description indicates that laundry services will be performed weekly.
1. • Section 2 of the PWS (Services Summary) states, “Pick up Wednesday every other week,” referencing Appendix D.
1. • However, Appendix D (Pick Up and Delivery Schedule) identifies pickup days as Tuesday and Thursday for Building 5, Bay J, indicating twice-weekly pickups.
1. • Additionally, the workload table in Appendix D presents estimated quantities on a weekly basis.
The Tuesday/Thursday twice per week schedule is the intended schedule. The totals for linens are based on the twice weekly schedules (example- 50 total flats sheet per week, so 25 sheets on Tuesday and 25 sheets on Thursday).
3. Based on the above, could the Government please confirm the intended pickup schedule and clarify whether the weekly estimated quantities in Appendix D are based on an every-other-Wednesday pickup schedule or the twice-weekly Tuesday/Thursday pickup schedule?
See above
4. Section 4.3.1 specifies normal hours of operation ending before 3:00 PM. Could the Government clarify whether pickups and deliveries are restricted to those operating hours, or whether services may be performed on other days and times consistent with the approved pickup schedule?
Before 1500 is the required time, but the date is flexible if pickup/dropoff is missed/unavailable. In those cases, Monday, Wednesday, or Friday before 1500 works as well.
5. Please clarify whether the linens are Contractor-furnished rental items or Government-furnished property. We were unable to identify linens as either Government-furnished or Contractor-furnished in Appendix E or Appendix F.
The linens are government-furnished.
