1. Q: Is this a brand name requirement?

A: No, this is not a brand name requirement. It is based on salient characteristics only.

2. Q: Do you want an automatic film feeder/autofeeder?

A: Yes, we want an autofeeder.

3. Q: Where in the development process, is the automatic film feeding?

A: The automatic film feeding is through the entire process. During this process, the film is:

‐ Removed (by hand) from the packet or cassette;

‐ Placed into the autofeed receiver/tray;

‐ Automatically fed through all development and drying steps; and, ‐ Deposited in the output tray/rack.

4. Q: Will a medical X‐Ray Film Processor be acceptable for your use?

A: No, a medical X‐ray film processor will not be acceptable for use in the industrial environment. Any quotes for medical X‐ray film processors will be ineligible for award.

We have a specific technical order (TO) which specifies the following:

6.4.10.2 Chemicals for Automatic Processing.

Medical automatic processing chemicals are formulated to function at high temperatures, but are not capable of producing acceptable industrial radiographic results. Only development chemicals formulated to be used to develop industrial radiographic film SHALL be used in industrial radiographic film processors.

We are unable to get the required quality we need from medical X‐ray film processors.

5. Q: Are you expecting the proposal to include installation of this equipment at your facility at

A: No, we only need the delivery of all necessary components.
