Questions
1. In the equipment listing it states so many sets per year. Are the tanks actually being exchanged that many times or only as needed based on water testing? Per example: Location calls for 24 sets per year but only 20 sets were changed because water quality was good.
ANSWER: The sets are an estimate for budgeting purposes. It is as needed, but we also want it changed out before it almost goes out of tolerance. The current contractor tests it weekly.
2. Does bldg. 9001 have vehicle drive through access?
ANSWER: Yes
3. How Many tanks per site are required per the listed exchange?
ANSWER: It is up to the contractor as long as the tanks provide the requirements in the PWS. There are space restrictions so the contractor should be mindful of that. If it meets the PWS then it should be fine. The appendix is a suggestion of tanks that were there.
4. Clarify sets to be replaced:
· Do all tanks in the series need to be swapped during an exchange (all of the tanks sitting at each site)?
ANSWER: That will be up to the contractor. As long as the water quality for the equipment meets the requirements in the PWS. The current contractor tests it weekly. If the system can last weekly then it should be fine.
OR
· Can we do an exchange on the "worker" tank and rotate the others? This is typically how we operate, but I wanted to clarify with you in case the Tinker had other requirements.
ANSWER: That is fine as long as the water coming out of the DI system meets the PWS.
