QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Question: In regards to the number of garments listed in Appendix A, is that a weekly, monthly, or yearly amount? Answer: The number of garments listed in Appendix A is a weekly amount.
2. Question: I’m sure the current contract requires the contractor to submit monthly reports on number of items. Would it be possible to make those numbers available? Answer: The numbers of the incumbent are in accordance with (IAW) the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The numbers are not tracked with monthly reports so there is no additional information to provide to the public apart from the PWS.
3. Question: Paragraph 1.4 in the performance work statement states: Launder Shop Garments: The contractor shall wash/dry, press, fold, and/or hang on hangers all laundered items in accordance with Industry Standards, see Appendix D. Is this item stating that all laundered items are to be pressed or only those items on Appendix D?
Answer: Refer to Appendix A to know specific items that are pressed IAW the PWS.
4. Question: There needs to be more clarification on which items need pressed. Is it just what is hung on hangers? Is it just dry cleaned items? Answer: See Appendix D for specific items that are dry cleaned; Appendix A tells the specific items that are hung from hangers.
5. Question: Appendix D, labeled Dry Cleaning, contains items that are not to be dry cleaned. Should the label read special handling? Answer: There are no special handling requirements, simply launder the garments IAW with the PWS.
