Item 1. See DoD FAR Supplement Subpart 4.71 for proper numbering.

Item 2. Enter title as it appears on data acquisition document cited in Item 4.

Item 3. Enter subtitle of data item for further definition of data item (optional entry).

Item 4. Enter Data Item Description (DID) number, military specification number, or military standard number listed in DoD 5010.12-L (AMSDL), or one-time DID number, that defines data content and format requirements.

Item 5. Enter reference to tasking in contract that generates requirement for the data item (e.g., Statement of Work paragraph number).

Item 6. Enter technical office responsible for ensuring adequacy of the data item.

Item 7. Specify requirement for inspection/acceptance of the data item by the Government.

FOR THE CONTRACTOR

Item 17. Specify appropriate price group from one of the following groups of effort in developing estimated prices for each data item listed on the DD Form 1423.

a. Group I. Definition - Data which is not otherwise essential to the contractor's performance of the primary contracted effort (production, development, testing, and administration) but which is required by DD Form 1423.

Estimated Price - Costs to be included under Group I are those applicable to preparing and assembling the data item in conformance with Government requirements, and the administration and other expenses related to reproducing and delivering such data items to the Government.

b. Group II. Definition - Data which is essential to the performance of the primary contracted effort but the contractor is required to perform additional work to conform to Government requirements with regard to depth of content, format, frequency of submittal, preparation, control, or quality of the data item.

Estimated Price - Costs to be included under Group II are those incurred over and above the cost of the essential data item without conforming to Government requirements, and the administrative and other expenses related to reproducing and delivering such data item to the Government.

c. Group III. Definition - Data which the contractor must develop for his internal use in performance of the primary contracted effort and does not require any substantial change to conform to Government requirements with regard to depth of content, format, frequency of submittal, preparation, control, and quality of the data item.

Estimated Price - Costs to be included under Group III are the administrative and other expenses related to reproducing and delivering such data item to the Government.

d. Group IV. Definition - Data which is developed by the contractor as part of his normal operating procedures and his effort in supplying these data to the Government is minimal.

Estimated Price - Group IV items should normally be shown on the DD Form 1423 at no cost.

Item 18. For each data item, enter an amount equal to that portion of the total price which is estimated to be attributable to the production or development for the Government of that item of data.

These estimated data prices shall be developed only from those costs which will be incurred as a direct result of the requirement to supply the data, over and above those costs which would otherwise be incurred in performance of the contract if no data were required. The estimated data prices shall not include any amount for rights in data. The Government's right to use the data shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of the contract.

Block 5 - PD1676SMXG55701, 3.4 TDP Block 6 - Requiring Office shall be listed on Delivery Order(DO).

Block 7 - The review and correction cycle for TDP will be as follows:

All correspondence for in-process reviews will be telephonic or via email.

The reviewing activity is the requiring office unless otherwise specified.

The Government will submit comments to the Contractor within 20 business days of receipt.

The Contractor will submit corrections to the reviewing activity within 20 business days for corrections.

The review and correction cycle will continue until Government Approval or the maximum number of corrections is reached. Maximum number of correction cycles is 15.

The Government will inspect and accept the TDP at destination for final delivery of TDP.

Block 8 - TDP requires approval prior to final distribution.

Block 9:

a. Distribution Statement -Unlimited Rights: Data shall be marked in accordance with DODI 5230.24. The statement shall be applied within the border, to the first page of each Technical Data Package (TDP) document prior to delivery of documents to Government representative.

-Limited/Proprietary Rights: Data shall be marked with Distribution B or E, as appropriate, in accordance with DODI 5230.24. The statement shall be applied within the border, to the first page of each TDP document prior to delivery of documents to Government representative.

NOTE:

a. An abbreviated version of the Distribution Statement is not acceptable. A reason for the assigned statement must be included as well as date of the contract and the controlling office symbol.

b. The following export control notice, in accordance with DODI 5230.24, shall be affixed to the engineering drawings and associated lists as an added paragraph below the distribution statement:

"WARNING. This document contains technical data whose export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22 U.S.C. Sec 2751, et seq.) or the Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended (Title 50 U.S.C. App 2401, et seq.). Violations of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties. Disseminate in accordance with the provisions of DODD 5230.25."

c. The following destruction notice shall be affixed to the engineering drawings and associated lists as an added paragraph below the distribution statement: DESTRUCTION NOTICE - Destroy by any method that will prevent disclosure of contents or reconstruction of the documents.

d. Distribution statement information will be provided per Delivery Order.

Block 10-

a. Copies of TDPs shall be provided to support reviews and audits. See Block 7.

b. Shipping Lists(s) are required for each shipment.

c. Re-submission is required for deficient, improperly formatted, illegible data and missing data. All data re-submittals shall include an index.rst file along with the corrected data.

Block 11,12,13 - Updated TDP shall be delivered as requested by the Government.

a. TDP documentation is required for each IPR, audit or review. See block 7.

b. Deliver TDP documentation at request by the Government. Resubmission is required for deficient, improperly formatted, or illegible data as determined by Government Representative.

c. Deliver shipping lists(s) with each TDP shipment.

d. Deliver formatted sample Compact Disk (CD) at the request of the Government.

Block 14 - Distribution will be listed on the Delivery Order.

Format/Other Digital TDP documentation in Portable Document Format ISO 32000-1:2008, shall be submitted in lieu of paper copy.

Final delivery shall be in Portable Document Format ISO 32000-1:2008, AutoCAD 2015 and OrCAD 16.6 format as applicable.

Undimensioned drawings provided by the Contractor shall be dimensionally accurate Digital images, very high accuracy with tolerance (= or - 0.005 inches). Digital raster imagery shall be in TIFF G4 format. Unacceptable formats are Tiled CCITT G4, Strips CCITT G4.

The Contractor shall maintain precise geometric accuracy within +/- 0.005 inches over 48 in. by 180 in. The Government no longer accepts undimensioned drawings printed on stable base physical media. All undimensioned data shall be delivered in digital format, precision scale, and full size reproducible. This data shall be provided in a digital format that can be readily imported into JEDMICS. The Contractor shall invoke these same requirements with its subcontractors or vendors at any tier requiring the delivery of technical data, except contractual instruments for commercial items or commercial components. This shall include pre-notification of rights in data and shall ensure that subcontractors and vendors are required to provide the same depth of data that the prime is obligated to provide to the Government. Subcontractor or vendor data may be provided directly to the Government if rights limitations preclude their being provided by way of the prime Contractor. Any deviation in subcontractor and vendor data content must be approved by the Government procuring agency. Data shall be delivered via AMRDEC Safe in the native or .zip format. Failure of this data to be in JEDMICS acceptable format shall be cause for rejection. CAD data in STEP compliant neutral format and native 3D CAD format capable of being exported to ISO 10303 STEP format shall be delivered as raster data shall be delivered. See attachments for requirement details. Classified data, when applicable, shall be delivered digitally on ISO-10149 compliant Compact Disk (CD) in accordance with attachment 1 of DD Form 2554-1.
