About this file

This is an Item Description memorandum for a federal procurement requirement issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The 76th CMXG is requesting procurement of one (1) Altitude Test Chamber Blower Replacement unit to be used in conjunction with an existing Altitude Chamber Test System. The primary equipment specified is a Dearing Compressor and Pump Co. Pressure Blower System, Part Number DSP-2505-8CM-6-50 or equal, which must serve as a direct replacement for the current Model 38406A unit (Serial Number 27335) while maintaining identical form, fit, and function.

The replacement blower must meet stringent operational specifications including a centrifugal multistage design with inlet air pressure range from 28 to 31 inches HgA, inlet air temperature range from 0°F to 115°F, output capacity of 2,000 SCFM, and outlet pressure of 6 psig. The system includes a 100 HP TEFC premium efficient motor rated at 460 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz with 3,600 rpm operational speed. The complete package must be skid-mounted on powder-coated I-Beam steel construction and include all coupling components, rotational safety guards, and a conduit box for connection to existing facility power infrastructure. All components must be new, and any substitutions must be capable of seamless integration with the existing Altitude Chamber Test System, with the contractor responsible for functional testing to verify system compatibility and operational requirements.
