About this file

This file is a Request for Information (RFI) Question and Answer document for the B414 Furniture Procurement with Installation solicitation (FA706026Q0008). The RFI addresses 46 questions from potential contractors regarding the procurement, delivery, and installation of office furniture for Building 414, which will serve as an Alternative Base Defense Operations Center (ALT BDOC) for the 11 Security Force Squadron at a Department of the Air Force facility.

The procurement requires delivery and installation of approximately 23 line items of new, commercial-grade furniture within 60 days of contract award, with work performed during regular business hours at a one-story facility with ground-level entry and no elevator requirements. Key items include workstations, L-shaped desks, conference tables, cubicles, task chairs, gaming chairs for 24/7 operations, gaming monitors, televisions with wall mounts, filing cabinets, bookcases, sofas, folding chairs, and compact refrigerators. Installation is a single lump-sum Firm-Fixed-Price CLIN covering delivery, assembly, and debris removal for all items. The contractor is responsible for physical mounting and furniture setup, including cable routing for televisions, while the Government handles electrical connections and data line infrastructure. All personnel must pass security screening for base access and comply with Service Contract Act (SCA) wage rates. The Government will provide a floor plan, designate a Contracting Officer's Representative for post-installation approval, and permits equivalent commercial-grade product substitutions meeting or exceeding stated specifications. Neutral finish options, standard commercial features (such as Energy Star certified refrigerators and 4K UHD televisions with NDAA compliance), and space-saving capabilities for folding chairs are preferred. Floor and wall protection using materials such as Masonite is required during delivery, and sufficient parking and staging space for a 26-foot box truck is available.
