USAFA Glass Cleaning
FA700019RA001
Questions & Answers
1. What is the difference between “windows” and “interior/exterior” in the PWS Appendix A – Estimated Workload Data chart?
Answer:
Verbiage in Appendix A has been changed and changes have been highlighted. “Windows” has been changed to “exterior glass”. “Interior/exterior” has been changed to “Interior/Exterior Glass”. The spreadsheets provided explain how we were able to break it down. Unfortunately, we do not have spreadsheets for all the facilities, but will have them developed for future use.
2. Is there access to water at each facility?
Answer:
Yes
3. What is the frequency for roof anchor testing?
Answer:
USAFA tests in accordance with the OSHA requirements. An inspection is performed every year and a certification is performed, at a minimum, every ten years.
4. It was stated during the site visit that Charlie 1 and Charlie 2 only have exterior glass cleaned? Should the PWS Appendix A state “Exterior” under the type?
Answer:
The verbiage has been changed to Exterior Glass.
5. On interior partition glass – The assumption is that we will be cleaning both sides of the glass. Has this been factored into the square footage?
Answer:
Yes. See the breakdown in the excel spreadsheets. Interior represents one side of the glass and exterior represents the other side of the glass which results in capturing both sides. If both sides are not captured, a zero will be present in one of the columns.
6. The host indicated several exceptions in cleaning areas/locations. What are they?
Answer:
See the excel spreadsheet for breakdown of glass cleaning. All exceptions have been noted. Glass cleaning that is not required by the contract will have a zero in either the interior or exterior column. Interior represents one side of the glass and exterior represents the other side of the glass which results in capturing both sides.
