About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation FA667525Q0005, relating to a laser etcher procurement for the 301st Maintenance Group at NAS JRB Fort Worth, TX. The Q&A addresses five key questions from potential vendors, including details about facility ventilation, machine entry, installation, software requirements, and tax exemption status. The associated solicitation is a small business set-aside for one Epilog Laser, PRO 48-50W Fiber & 120W CO2 laser etcher, with required accessories including a host design station, filters, rotary attachments, and mandatory equipment training.

The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Air Force Reserve Command, with a quote validity through September 30, 2026, using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection approach. Critical procurement details include FOB destination delivery, requirement for SAM registration under NAICS 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing), and a notable caveat that funds are not currently available, which means no award will be made until funding is secured. Vendors must submit product data sheets and technical information for evaluation, with questions accepted until August 28, 2025, directed to Ms. Austin and Mr. Benner via provided email contacts.
