Questions / Answers

1. Have the lodge buildings 476, 477 and 478 been cleared for asbestos?

A. Facility 478 and 477 were done prior to renovation in 2010 and both buildings did not contain asbestos per the areas sampled. We do not have survey for 478, however these buildings were all constructed at the same time and are of the same design , so we do not expect to find any asbestos containing materials in 478.

2. In what year were the lodge buildings 476, 477 and 478 constructed/built?

A. The original bldgs were constructed in 1956.

B. They were renovated post Hurricane Andrew (1992).

3. We do not see the requirement for a licensed mold remediator per the SOW and other posted bid docs. Do you anticipate the need for this requirement being that mold remediation is a major part of this project?

A. All contractors must be bonded, certified, and comply with OSHA standards.

B. Mold remediation shall be performed by personnel trained and experienced with this type of work. Where industry standards require certifications for mold remediation, Contractor shall provide certifications to government before commencing work.
