Questions & Responses #002, from Site Visit August 18, 2015 QJKL 15-0029 Repair Squadron Ops Bldg 821

1. QUESTION: Who will be moving the safes from the office/storage areas (regular and classified?

RESPONSE: The users will be responsible for moving all safes & contents.

2. QUESTION: 1st floor, room 111 also has wall decals, are these to remain or get painted over?

RESPONSE: These items are to remain, please plan to protect these items when painting.

3. QUESTION: 1st floor, room 115(b) has black cork-type walls, will this room get painted?

RESPONSE: This room should NOT be painted.

4. QUESTION: Next to the main entrance, is a wall with fire/electrical panels and wallpaper, how should this wall be treated?

RESPONSE: FA panels are to remain, remove vinyl wall covering around the panels and prep for new paint.

5. QUESTION: Are the contractors responsible for putting back up the wall hanging/pictures/cork boards/bulletin boards, etc.? Or will users re-hang them?

RESPONSE: The contractor shall be responsible for taking down, storing, and rehanging all items on walls.

6. QUESTION: Will users box up and take all their personal items (plants, photos, etc.)?

RESPONSE: Yes, users will be responsible for removing their files and personal items.

7. QUESTION: Will moving boxes & labels be provided by the contractor?

RESPONSE: No, users will furnish their own boxes.

8. QUESTION: Users will take down the TV’s, who is responsible for taking down and reinstalling all the brackets?

RESPONSE: The building users.

9. QUESTION: Will the users box up the contents of their desks, credenzas, cupboards, etc. for storage?

RESPONSE: Yes, contractor will be responsible for storing if necessary.

10. QUESTION: Is it correct that there is no ceiling tile that is to be replaced in the project?

RESPONSE: No. See drawing sheet A-601 for ceilings to be replaced.
