Site Visit Questions & Responses – SET #1

FA6633-15-B-0008/QJKL 14-0018

Repair Office Areas, Bldg 801, Minneapolis ARS, MN

SET #1 – 21 July 2015

1. QUESTION: Where is the "MDC" switchboard located, what floor is it on? Is it inside the main part of the building? Are there pathways to the 1st and 2nd floor panels?

RESPONSE: The MDC is located on the outside on south side of building. See sheet E-101.

Feeders to new panels ‘L1C’ and ‘L2C’ are new and are to be routed at contractors discretion.

2. QUESTION: For the panels that are being reused and having a wall built around them, will we be required to supply new recessed panel covers?

RESPONSE: Yes. Also, see note 4 on E-602 for new panel requirements.

3. QUESTION: Regarding the low voltage conduits, E-102 states that the 1st floor conduit will run to the communication room, and 2nd floor will run to the existing cable tray. I wanted to double check that is accurate, instead of providing a stub up conduit for each location.

RESPONSE: Yes, the note is accurate. Conduits on 1st floor shall be run to the comm room.

4. QUESTION: In reviewing the plans and specs for the Repair Office Areas Bldg 801 project I am unable to identify the dimensions for the exterior windows. There are no exterior elevations or listings on the door & window schedule(only dimensions for the interior windows). They appear to be approx. 40" wide but there is no way to estimate the length. We will need those numbers in order to come up with a bid for the window coverings. Do you have that information?

RESPONSE: The exterior windows on the second floor of B801 are roughly 42"W x 48"H. Please field verify before ordering.

5. QUESTION: I would like to verify the note on #E-102 Notes: 1. Install conduit to the 1st floor communications room for outlets shown on E-101.

Install conduits to cable tray for outlets shown on E-102.

RESPONSE: The note in question applies to Data Outlet Detail B5, which is requiring all data cables be run in conduit or cable tray.
