FA5685-14-Q-0013 CCC Furniture Questions & Answers

1) Question: Does the government want items delivered assembled or unassembled in boxes?

Answer: Items delivered will be assembled. Assembly on site is also acceptable.

2) Question: Most of the CLINs referenced herein are only available from US brands marketed through US based retailers and not available in the country of Turkey. Will the government accept "equals" that match dimensional and utility specs that can be found on the economy in Turkey?

Answer: Yes, equal items are acceptable. If providing an equal item, contractors must state so in their quote. The US brands are only for a point of reference in terms of dimensions. While style should be considered as well, consistent style across all CLINs is more important than exact style referenced in the US brands.

3) Question: The classroom table as part of CLIN 0003, NBF #41541, is available with and without the modesty panel under the same reference model number. Which one does the government prefer?

Answer: Without modesty panel

4) Question: The round table and the chairs listed under CLIN 0009 are part of a set that NBF sells together under model # 44609. Does the government want separate prices for both CLINs even though they come as a set together?

Answer: Either. If the CLIN includes items in another CLIN, do not separate them and price them as a whole. Contractors must state so. Total CLIN price would be the same regardless of quoting as set or separate.

5) Question: On many CLINs, the government's choice of color/finish is not listed on the referenced retailer on-line catalogues (i.e. no CHERRY finish for CLIN 0009, or no OAK finish for CLIN 0010, etc.). Does the government want the offer to include finishes that are listed as available, instead?

Answer: We did not follow color limitations within catalogues under assumption local bidders would not be procuring furniture from retailer listed. If color requested cannot be provided, alternates are acceptable with understanding that color/finishes should be consistent within the CLINs and activity areas as applicable.

6) Question: As for the Wooden Credenzas under CLIN 0010, there are no brass drawer pull options listed on NBF on-line catalogue, will the government accept manufacturer's offering as a substitute?

Answer: Yes, as long as all hardware matches across items within CLIN.

7) Question: CLIN 0017 lists Round End Tables that the retailer Gaylord Americana offers with or without the slats under the model reference number #GLT-2424VD. Which one does the government prefer?

Answer: Without slats

8) Question: CLIN 0018 lists Cushioned Lounge Chairs and adds "See Photo Sample."

There is no photo sample attached and the referenced retailer Gaylord Americana offers three (3) different products under the same product code, #HT1737. Which one does the government prefer? (Please provide the sample photo, if possible.)

Answer: Photo attached. As far as the referenced product code, we are referencing the HPFI Genesis Mobile 1-Color Standard Fabric Chair with Wood Finish Arm Caps & Open Shelf. We do not require an open shelf. The attached photo is an acceptable alternate style choice (no wooden arm caps).

9) Question: Are partial quotes acceptable?

Answer: Partial quotes are not acceptable. Contractors must be able to fulfill the complete requirement set forth in the solicitation to be eligible for award.
