1.5.2 Concrete Consistency

Concrete consistency shall be such that no air bubbles nor paste reflow will occur when the pouring and setting operations are finished regardless of placing method used.

1.5.3 Generally, the slump shall fall within the following limits, provided the required strength is obtained:

CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE 30

Type of Structure Slump in cm for Vibrated Concrete Minimum Maximum General building construction and rigid pavements 5.0 7.5

Reinforced walls 5.0 10.0

Heavy-duty floor and slab construction 5.0 7.5

Shimmy tests shall be made in accordance with UNI EN 206-1.

1.5.4 Admixtures

Calcium chloride shall not be used as an admixture.

1.5.4.1 Air-Entrained Concrete
