Purchase of Washers – Questions and Answers Question:

“Control settings, cycle names, labels and displays on the device must be in English.”

Could you confirm if this is a mandatory and critical compliance requirement? Most equipment on the German market is supplied with German interfaces, and we have been unable to identify equivalent products that meet the English-language requirement.

Would devices with German-language interfaces be acceptable? Alternatively, would any of the following solutions satisfy the requirement:

- Providing English operating instructions and user documentation;

- Supplying English translations, overlays, or supplementary labels for the controls and displays?

Answer:

Operating instructions should have English Question:

Did you have a manufacturer/model in mind for the two solicitations? As an intermediary supplier, we are brand open and can go in the direction you would prefer – if it is available on the European market.

Answer:

We are do not prefer a specific brand however these brands (Bosch, Siemens, Beko, SB, Hoover) are desirable.

Vendors could provide multiple quotes for different brands. Almost any brand could work as long as it meets the specifications.

Question:

We are unable to add information directly to the document because it is password-protected and requires a password to edit. Should we print it out and complete the paperwork manually instead?

Answer:

You can fill out the information manually as well.

Question:

Could you confirm for me that the DoDAAC: F3N052 is Ramstein (or Ramstein Airbase region)? My research in WAWF has not resulted in a concrete address and I wanted to confirm that this is in fact the correct site for inspection and acceptance?

Answer:

That is correct. You can also refer to the physical address to see the exact location.

Deliveries or Performance Location for delivery (physical address): Einsiedlerhof Air Station, Building 720

Question:

Please clarify whether the solicitation is for 800 washers or 2100 washers Answer:

The total amount of washers is 2100.

Note: Not all 2100 washers are currently funded hence why it is split up into different CLINs

Question:

In Subject ID Notice published on SAM.GOV, we were unable to find the required Brand Name Justification Document. Please tell us where to find it.

Answer:

This is not a Brand Name requirement, any verbiage of “Lifetime Warranty” has been removed from the specifications.
