TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Ventilation equipment and air circulation

The technical room is located on the first and second floor of the Annex West building. Altogether 3 systems were installed. The overall technical criteria of the ventilation systems are:

In the area of the hangar bay supply air and exhaust air ventilation will be conducted wi th

1 10.000m3/h. The outside air is filtered, heated up to I 5,6°C and humidified to 40%.

For the energy optimization, a circulatory combination system wi th heat recovery is planned.

Based on the specific weight of the fuel gases, air guidance from top to bottom takes place. The processed supply air is inserted through a channel system on the technical grid. Additionally y two industrial source air outlets are installed on the outer walls.

The exhaust air direction takes place through an accessible ground channel wi th concrete exhaust air channels.

( The ventilation system is needed for maintenance work on the hydrofoils. The foam dry room is also supplied with fresh air through this system.

The supply and exhaust air d irection for the hyd rofoils is conducted through a hose rewinder mounted above the technical grid. Ifnecessa1y the hoses can be rolled down to the hydrofoils and attached to the hydrofoils.

The supply air provision of the dry foam room is conducted through a channel system which is mounted under the ceiling. The exhaust air direction is conducted through grid inlets near the floor.

The lounges/break rooms, the social areas, the tool room, chief of shop room, administration and celt test room arc ventilated and vented.

The processing of the outside air is conducted as in the system LOI . The necessary temperature increase the break areas, the offices and the social areas is conducted through a decentralized after burner . The exhaust air of the break areas, the offices and social areas is vented through separate exhaust air ventilators mounted in the subceiling on the first floor.

The exhaust air of the cell test room is conducted through the exhaust air system L06.

The air circulation is located under the ceiling, respectively in the hollow ceiling space. Ln the break areas and offices turn outlets are installed. In the socia l areas ventilation valves arc installed.

Fire prevention I f the exhaust lines cross th rough a fire protection zone, fire protection va lves will be installed . After installation of the fire protection valves, they will be joi ned wi th fire protection mortar to the buildi ng shel l.

Insulation The supply air is insulated through 30mm aluminum clad mineral fiber. The outside air will be

( , insulated wi th 40 mm aluminum clad mineral fiber. Heat i sulation will be IAW current regulations.

In areas of possible mechanical strain, the insulation will be a cover made of A LU-coarse grain.

Air recirculation air equipment

The inside unit of the air recirculation system is installed in the server room Annex -East.

Di rectly above, in the attic, the outside unit is installed. The drip water line leads into the heating room.
