About this file

This document is an Amendment 1 - Questions Document for the Spangdahlem AB, Germany Automated Entry Control System (AECS) solicitation, dated 3 June 2025. The document addresses four key questions from potential contractors regarding the solicitation (FA560625Q2013). The government provides clarifications including the location of the DAFMAN 16-1404 Volume 3 publication, confirmation that there is no page limit on the technical approach, and the solicitation closing date of 11 June 2026 at 1300 CEST.

The solicitation requires installing a stand-alone Automated Entry Control System in Building 24 at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, with the specific goal of controlling entry at two doors to limit access to an open storage area and prevent unauthorized personnel. The floor plan attached shows the building layout, with two green-marked doors identified as the entry points for the system. Contractors must be approved by the 52d Fighter Wing Information and certified to perform work in US classified areas. The government intends to award a purchase order to the vendor whose quotation is most advantageous, considering price and technical factors.
