Illegal disposal of construction waste is not permitted and will be punished by severe fines. It is not permitted to dispose of construction waste on sites outside installations specially assigned for that purpose.

Self-utilization of construction waste requires the authorization by the responsible county administration. .

Since 1 June 1994, non-contaminated construction waste is not accepted anymore on county-owned disposal sites for soil and construction waste but shall be turned over to private enterprises which obtained a concession for that purpose from the County Administration. The County Administration has no influence on the prices asked by these enterprises. Information about the conditions of waste acceptance can be obtained from the waste disposal firm.

The County Administration published in due time before 1

June 1994 a list of those firms which may temporarily store or reuse uncontaminated construction waste.

The proceeds of the scrap metal shall be taken into consideration when calculating the unit price.

Non-reusable Materials:

Non-reusable materials shall be disposed of at disposal sites which obtained a concession for them.

Performance of Demolition Work/Disposal:

Demolition work shall be carefully performed without damaging the construction elements which remain in place. Special measures which may be required to do so shall be included in the unit prices.

Demolished material shall be collected separately and also disposed of separately.

If higher disposal fees result because mixed construction waste was delivered they shall be paid by the contractor.

Construction waste in form of slabs (e.g. asbestos cement slabs, styrofoam boards or the like) shall be recovered without being destructed and then disposed of.

”Disposal” in principle means:

Transporting the demolished material to the transportation means (container), loading it and hauling it, depending on the waste type, to the corresponding disposal site.

Wood waste shall be disposed of according to the order on old forest and the stipulations of the disposal firm.

All disposal fees (disposal site costs) shall be included in the unit prices.
