About this file
This is a Memorandum for Record documenting vendor questions and responses regarding federal contract FA558726Q0040 for a diesel sewage pump procurement by the 48th Force Support Squadron at RAF Lakenheath.
The 48th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) Water Fuel System Maintenance Shop, which operates the facility's wastewater treatment system processing approximately 2.5 million liters of sewage daily, is procuring a new trailer-mounted diesel sewage pump for installation at Building 1019, Sewage Treatment Works. The pump will serve multiple operational purposes: over-pumping a lift station during power failures to redirect flow to the nearest manhole, managing large volumes of water from burst pipes and sewage spills, and cleaning large tanks with capacities of at least 500,000 liters. The procurement is for a brand-new asset rather than a replacement or retrofit installation. The document addresses six vendor questions covering installation location, equipment specifications (noting that IMO and serial number information is not currently available), asset classification, intended applications, buyer role (end user), and industry sector (wastewater treatment). No pricing terms, response dates, award dates, or contract vehicle type are specified in this memorandum.
