This document contains vendor questions and answers regarding Solicitation Number FA558723Q0047 from the Department of the Air Force United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa for 48 ballistic shelters and shields. The solicitation requires the delivery and installation of 48 ballistic shelters with level 5 steel and level 9 glass that are interchangeable between 50Hz and 60Hz power sources. Vendor Questions

1. The ballisc shacks/cabins will be ready to install. Could you please confirm if the unloading will be in the contractor's scope? Will the client provide a Hiab or crane at the base?

a. We will provide the unloading of the items.

2. Could you please confirm, if the hooking up of the shacks/cabins to the main power lines and other ulies will be in the contractor's scope as well?

a. This will not be in the contractors’ scope as this will need to be done by CES.

3. If the installaon is in the contractor's scope, are all the sites of installaon prepped to receive the shacks?

The shield requires level 5 steel but level 9 glass. Please can you confirm that level 5 steel and glass would be acceptable?

a. We need the glass to have the highest protecon because structurally it will be the weakest point.

9 Level glass and 5 level steel are sll required.

b. The areas are prepped to receive the gate shacks.

4. The cabin specificaon states 2# AC split system per cabin. Given the small dimensions of the cabins it won’t be possible to fit two units, also, the capacity will be significantly oversized which can cause operaonal issues. Please confirm that 1# is acceptable?

a. One will be acceptable.

5. Could you confirm the internal and external fire rangs of the cabins? And power Hz requirements. Do you need to be interchangeable between 50Hz and 60Hz to conform with both UK and American generators?

a. They need to be interchangeable as we may not know which one, we will be operang on at any given me.

6. The overall specificaon requires the facilies to comply with UFC 4-022-01. UFC 4-022-01 specifies UL 752 as the ballisc resistance standard rather than NIJ, please can you confirm that where reference to NIJ is made, that a UL752 equivalent can be provided per the UFC?

a. Yes, a UL752 equivalent product can be provided.

b. The UK Rang for the Guard Houses is “FD60”
