Attachment III – Q&A

Question 1:

“The solicitation asks for bins 12 inches deep – approx. 300mm. I would like to double check that your team are not in fact wanting bins 24 inches deep – approx. 600mm which will span the entire depth of the carousel’s shelving levels? Does the team plan to stack the 12 inch bins “double deep”?”

Answer to Question 1:

“The team would like the 600mm deep bins.”

Question 2:

“Do the team require dividers with the bins? The budgetary quotation provided dividers but there is no mention of dividers in the solicitation.”

Answer to Question 2:

“The team does require dividers”

Question 3:

“Minimum criteria of H3385mm, W3675mm D1671mm, but what are the maximum restrictions, for example, how high can we go? - We would always recommend to maximise the storage;

going as high and wide as possible (within reason).”

Answer to Question 3:

“The maximum measurements that a Vertical Carousel can fit into our area is 11 feet 4 inches high, 12 feet wide and 5 feet 9 inches depth.”

Question 4:

“Do you have a specified carrier pitch? This will determine the number of carriers/levels ultimately. I can see there are a qty of Bins required – we can make some assumptions on the carrier clearances but it is best to have a confirmed carrier pitch for the specification?”

Answer to Question 4:

“16 inch pitch and a clearance of 8 inches per level”
