Salient Characteristics
Ballistic Guard Buildings
Required Certifications/Qualifications
Purchase three (3) Ballistic Guard Buildings 1.50m x 3.0m x 2.40m (H) (external).
• The following characteristics reflect the requirement for each unit.
• Certified Level IV National Institute of Justice (NIJ) ballistic rating. Must be able to stop 7.62 x
51mm NATO Armor Piercing (AP)
Characteristics
• Must be manufactured from impact resistant materials and weatherproof protection
• Must be rapidly deployed & quick to remove and capable to be relocated to multiple sites.
• Fully galvanized structure with fully welded steel construction. Exterior color must be dark brown, with tinted windows to block sun and view from the exterior.
• Thermal insulation for the roof, walls and floors must be at least 35mm PUR. The ballistic protection for these areas must be N.IJ. Level IV . The floor must be slip resistant with galvanized diamond tread steel.
• The windows must be fixed clad polycarbonate with at least Level IV NIJ ballistic rating mounted against ballistic walls
• The building must be equipped with two (2) sliding Level IV NIJ ballistic rated doors with weather stripping, and capable of being secured open or closed position. The doors must be affixed with tinted Level IV NIJ ballistic rated windows. The doors will be affixed along the long side of the structure.
• The building must be affixed with at least two (2) but not to exceed four (4) ventilation points which are ballistic protected.
• Ballistic windows must be multi-layer glass and polycarbonate inner layer to prevent fragmentation upon ballistic impact
• The building must be equipped with Lifting/tie-down points at each corner for easy transportation as well as fork lift pockets.
• The building must include an interior phone on the door side of the booth.
• At least four (4) but not to exceed eight (8) external floodlights capable of being controlled by interior switches.
• The building must be equipped with a 20,000 btu heat/cool unit with an exterior ballistic hood for protection.
• Building must include at least two (2) but not to exceed three (3) fire extinguishers mounted to the interior of the facility out of the way of the occupants.
• The building must has a fire alarm system featuring fire alarm sounders.
• The building will include at least six (6) but not to exceed eight (8) ballistic protected shooting ports. The ports will be located approximately three to four feet from the ground directly under the ballistic windows.
• Interior mounted first aid kit
• Two adjustable black in color chairs
• Interior mounted emergency rechargeable torch.
Complete electrical installation with:
• Consumer unit with legend.
• fluorescent wired light fixture (1)
• Light switch (1)
• triple 220v sockets (4)
• British test certificate
• The electric system will be pre-wired with 220V single phase, 50Hz electricity.
